Forms of Interpretation

Simultaneous Interpretation

An interpreter listens to what the speaker says through headphones and simultaneously interprets through a microphone. The participants listen to the voice through a receiver. This form is suitable for large conferences, seminars, etc.

Consecutive Interpretation

The speaker stops speaking in mid-sentence and the interpreter interprets during that time. Compared to simultaneous interpretation, this method allows for more accurate interpretation of what is being said, but it also lengthens the time of the meeting. It is also less expensive because it does not require specialized equipment.

Whispering Interpretation

As the name of “whispering” implies, the interpreter whispers in close proximity to the person requiring interpretation. It is suitable when there are two or three or fewer participants who need interpretation.

Online Interpretation Service

オンライン通訳者

Ideal for interpreting at online meetings and seminars

Simultaneous or consecutive interpretation is provided over an online conferencing system.

It can be used for business meetings with remote business partners, online conferences, seminars, audits, etc.

It is compatible with a variety of online conferencing systems, including Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, and Cisco Webex.

Advantage #1 of Online Interpretation

Reduces costs for interpretation

Interpreter transportation and lodging costs are eliminated, thus reducing the cost of interpretation. In addition, the cost of renting and arranging interpretation booths and transmitters/receivers for simultaneous interpretation can be significantly reduced.

Advantage #2 of Online Interpretation

Responds to areas where and times when it is difficult to dispatch interpreters

Since there are no restrictions on where the interpreters live, a wide range of interpreters can be arranged. We can also be flexible when interpreters are needed early in the morning or late at night due to time differences. Note: Surcharges will apply for early mornings and evenings.
